What is dibi8? #

dibi8 is a curated directory of open-source AI tools, frameworks, and developer utilities — updated daily, served in 4 languages (English, 中文, 한국어, Tiếng Việt).

If you’ve ever spent an evening hunting through GitHub trending only to find half the projects are stars-farming and the other half are abandoned forks of awesome-* lists — that’s the problem we exist to solve.

What we do #

Every project listed here has been:

• Verified live: We confirm the GitHub repository exists, has recent commits, and accepts issues
• Categorized: AI Tools, Dev Utils, Data Science, LLM Frameworks — no “miscellaneous”
• Summarized in 4 languages: Not machine-translated. Each language version is written for native readers, with idioms and conventions that local developers actually use
• Linked, not republished: We send traffic to maintainers’ repos, not capture it

How content is created #

Articles on dibi8 are AI-drafted (primarily Kimi/Moonshot, with cross-checks from Claude when verification is needed) and edited by the dibi8 editorial team for accuracy. Every listed open-source project is checked against its GitHub repository for: recent commit activity, valid license, working installation flow on a fresh environment. We do not republish content from the projects themselves — we link out to maintainers and add summaries, comparisons, and integration guidance in 4 languages.

If you spot an inaccuracy, open an issue or DM us on Telegram — we fix it within 24 hours.

Why we built this #

The English open-source ecosystem is rich. The Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese tech communities deserve the same depth of discovery — without having to translate everything themselves.

We’re not trying to be Hacker News. We’re trying to be the shortest path between “I need a tool to do X” and “here’s the open-source project, plus a five-minute summary in your language.”

What this site is NOT #

• Not an aggregator — we don’t auto-clone READMEs. Every article is read, edited, and judged
• Not a paid promotion network — listings are free; we never accept payment for placement
• Not perfect — we make mistakes; if you see one, email us and we’ll fix it

How we operate #

• Editorial cadence: 4-language content published daily, sourced from GitHub Trending + community submissions
• Maintenance: Site is statically generated (Hugo) for speed; no tracking beyond standard analytics (see Privacy)
• Funding: Currently supported by AdSense; no VC, no investors, no exit plan
